The more I photograph the more I am seeing the shift from mountain rustic to mountain modern homes.  Mountain modern homes are becoming the trend and why not - the design is beautiful, the floorplans are open and inviting, and the textures are more natural and raw. How can you not love the oversized windows that allow you to take in the views while still feeling warm and sheltered?  And the use of natural, raw materials and exposed beams really shows off the beautiful design and architecture.  Overall, this new trend has my stamp of approval!
